Wiring Process of a Three Phase Energy Meter

 

Disconnect from the power source

The first thing is to turn off the power source. It is good practice to check with a voltage tester, whether power is there or not so as to avoid any shock or damage to any part.

 

Meter parameter details

Each meter may have its parameters, for example, the voltage rating in the range of 120V or 277V with respect to each unit for a 3-phase meter, hence parameters are to be checked with respect to the load and distribution board.

 

Connect the incoming phase wires
